Campaign "School children must go to school"

The goal of the Latvian Foster Families Association is to support families that raise children who have been left without the care of their biological parents. Only in a loving and understanding family environment can a child grow to become a fully developed individual. The Foster Latvian Association unites families who have taken in orphans and children left without parental care into their homes and are raising them as their own.

The Association was founded in 1994 and currently encompases 200 families with 364 children. Families with children under guardianship receive only € 45.53 per month for childcare funds are given conditionally as long as the state or local government spends more than € 700.00 per month per child per orphanage), therefore it is important to receive as much support as possible for these families, so their labour of love has sustentenance to flourish and grow.

We turn to you with a request to support the campaign "School children must go to school" to help orphaned and abandoned children prepare for the new school year.

The cost of supporting one child is 10.00 EUR (notebooks, exercise books, paint, brushes, pencils, pens, glue, etc.). The total cost of the campaign is 3000.00 EUR.
