Support from LNK Charity Fund
Thanks to LNK Charity Fund support we could implement project "School children must go to school." The new school year always is starting with a lot of expenses and anxiety for each family.
Total problematic situation is for guardians who receive child maintenance 45.00 euro per month. For this money it is not possible to feed the children, buy clothes and buy the new stationery. Very often these children are accepted as ours; however, we have to remember that the guardians could choose the easy route and not to accept custody of the unfamiliar (or relative) child. Probably accepting child in family guardians don’t calculate how they will cover all expenses related to the child's maintenance. Essential thing is that the child is in the family, rather than an orphanage.
Therefore guardian families need support - both emotional and financial, what help them to manage their duties. To help these families Latvian Foster Families Association, in cooperation with LNK Charity Fund implemented the project "School children must go to school." Project financed purchase of stationery- markers, watercolor paints, crayons, pens, PVA glue and backpacks.
Starting new school year stationery sets could receive guardians and foster families with school-age children at Support center "Dzeguzēns" Pērnavas street 62. We express gratitude on behalf of all families to LNK Charity Fund and personally Jūlijai Belkinai for co-operation!
